MERIT Day 2024
The Parent Teachers Association organized the “MERIT DAY 2024” on 28 th February, 2024, to honour and appreciate the students in their achievements. It is the event of distributing certificates, shield/mementos and medals to students who won meritorious achievements in academics, excellent performance in curricular and co-curricular activities and sports. Sri Suresh Chandran, Vice President gave welcome speech and spoke out few words about this event. Dr. V Lijo Vincent, Principal and president of PTA presided over the function and explained the importance of Merit day. He pointed that award ceremony is a way of recognising and celebrating the student’s achievements in a public platform. Principal congratulated the students in their glorified excellence in various fields. Dr. Sivan P P, PTA secretary gave an introduction about the merit day. The committee constituted by PTA selected 67 students based on their academic excellence, 192 students based on their excellent performance in zone, inter-zone, university, state, national level sports and 130 students based on the performance in curricular and co-curricular activities. Total 400 students received certificates, medals and mementos. The event felicitated by UG Dean Dr. Jayan A R, PG Dean Dr. Ramesh A, PTA Joint secretary Adv. Anilkumar, college union vice chairperson Aswathy Mohan. At the end of event, Prof. Ajeesh, PTA Treasurer gave vote of thanks.
