UPDATES ON THE REQUEST FLOATED TOWARDS PURCHASE OF LAPTOPS FOR STUDENTS                 

 

The initial requirement at the college was to purchase 15 laptops and give an interest free loan of Rs 15,000 to 40 students. There were more requirements to both these categories. The response to the campaign is overwhelming. The initial offer was for Rs 350,000. In two days after the campaign started we could collect Rs 300,000 and promises for Rs 315,000. 

 

Now we are reviewing our target and would increase the number of laptops to 25 and loan to 50 students. We will continue the campaign and try to fulfill the requirement of a total number of students of about 85  with more number of laptops and lesser number of loans.

Inauguration of Gloria Gopi Kumar Alumni Hall on 20-01-20, 10 A M, by Distinguished Alumna Dr Tessy Thomas (Director General of Aeronautical systems)

                   The western amphitheatre in the main building has been renovated by a contribution from Sri K.S. Krishnakumar in memory of his wife Gloria Gopi Kumar, an Alumna of the 1988 batch of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The hall will be named Gloria Gopi Kumar Alumni Hall and will be inaugurated by Distinguished Alumna of the college Dr. Tessy Thomas (Director General of Aeronautical Systems) on 20-01-20 at 10 A M.

                 The first lecture of the Gloria Gopi Kumar annual lecture, initiated by her batch mates, will be delivered by Eminent Alumnus Sri  Santhosh Kumar ( Managing Director, Texas Instruments India).
