The Department of Production Engineering, Govt. engineering College Trichur, announces its International Conference on the sub-theme ‘Advances in Manufacturing Systems and Processes – AIMSAP 2015’ under the umbrella of ICETEST 2015.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE
Technology is advancing at an increasing pace making curricula obsolete quite fast. In this contest, seminars and workshops focusing on modern trends in Engineering, Processes, Management, Manufacturing and Systems are very important for students and faculty alike to keep them informed about the latest developments.
Ever increasing demand for essential and rapacious requirements have propelled research and development in all aspects of products and services. The researches in the areas of manufacturing, processes and systems have resulted in increasing the productivity, decreasing costs and incorporating new features in products. The advancements made in the related areas have also helped in improving the products and services delivered to the market. Keeping this in view, the theme for the Congress is chosen as “Advances in Manufacturing, Systems and Process”.
This conference is planning to have lectures on state-of-the-art topics by eminent personalities in different fields of engineering. The conference also intends to provide a platform for researchers of the nation to showcase their engineering and technological research outputs. In tune with the above objective, the Conference Secretariat requests the pleasure of participation from researchers, practitioners, academia and all interested in/associated with the theme of ‘Advances in Manufacturing Systems and Practices’ either by contributing research papers/articles for oral/poster presentation or by attending the conference. The papers may be related to one or more of the topics listed in the Section on Conference Topics.

About Production Engineering Department
Production Engineering Department of Government engineering College, Thrissur offers an undergraduate programme in Production Engineering and a postgraduate programme in Manufacturing Systems Management. It has got well qualified faculty and state of the art laboratories. All the faculty members of the department occupy key role in the college administration in addition to their regular academic works. Production Engineering Department regularly organises short term training programmes and national conferences. Regular paper presentation programmes, visiting faculty programmes, career development programmes, industry visits and technical talks are organised for students as well.
