The constituent conference conducted by Department of Computer Science & Engineering of GECT as a part of ICETEST 2018 is on the enabling theme of 'Emerging Trends In Computer Science’ and is aptly titled ‘ICETICS-2018’.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE

The major objective is to promote scientific and technological activities towards the advancement of common man's life and society thereby catering to social and economic wellbeing of the nation. Researchers and industry experts are expected to improve their theoretical knowhow and practices in various fields in Engineering and Technology through such events. The International conference ICETICS 2018 will act as a platform for researchers and academicians to know about emerging trends and research works undergoing in computer science domain. ICETICS 2018 will provide an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and research outcomes in the fields related to Computer Science and Information Technology. About Computer Science and Engineering Department

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started in the year 1984. As such, this is one of the oldest departments in this field in Kerala. Ever since its inception, it has been keen in producing professionals of unmatched quality and social commitment. The department is one of the premier departments of GEC, Thrissur with almost cent percent placement for B.Tech students in reputed Tier I companies. The department is currently offering B.Tech, M.Tech and MCA courses. Faculties in the department are involved in a wide area of research activities including image processing, networks, program reliability, software engineering, big data analytics etc.
