The students are motivated to do mini projects and final year projects in complete product form. They are encouraged to make working models of innovative ideas. The Department conducts seminars, workshops and symposiums on a regular basis under the auspices of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Association utilizing the services of subject experts and engineering professionals. The association coordinates the co-curricular activities of the department. The Department has been regularly organizing the mega event QUINTESSENCE which includes national level paper presentation, exhibition, software contest, hardware contest, talks by eminent personalities. The placement wings of the department in association with the college placement cell arrange facilities for conducting campus interviews and selection and requirement of students by reputed industrial organizations/companies.

The Department has a separate Alumni Association which regularly cooperates with the academic activities of the department by presenting technical talks to motivate the students and to give awareness about the current technological developments. Also they provide financial assistance for the technical activities. The department has a good library which is supported by the alumni. They contribute books and financial support for journals.
